A story of friendship, romance, and danger, set in a world of not only franchise and magic but also witchcraft and vampires with a craving fan base that was eager for the new adaptation after the 2014 theatrical adaptation. As it turns out, some of those ardent fans are themselves part of the Peacock series’ cast. “I’m a big fan of books myself. I read them when I was 13 or 14,” Jonita Kaiser, who plays Sonia Karp. “I saw the movie and loved it and I’m here now. So, the cool thing about Sonya is that she looks a lot like me because I grew up very shy and didn’t have a lot of friends. For Siri Stringer, who plays Rose Hathaway, her acting in the series was even more exciting because she’s been a longtime fan of the books. Stringer said that loving the character so much for being a fan of the books allowed her to get into the character more easily, too.
“I’ve been a big fan of books for a long time,” Stringer said. “I read them as a teenager, and my sister and I really loved them.” “And then I watched the movie. The movie was a pleasure for me. So, when I got the audition brief, I was like, ‘Oh, my God.'” This is actually Rose Hathaway. do you believe that? “And then when I booked the role, I called my sister, and she was so excited. And I only knew how to step into her because I was so familiar with her.”
